As part of the use of our services, we collect certain personal data necessary for their proper functioning. This includes your first name, last name, email address, telephone number, as well as your company name and address and your intra-community VAT number. Payment data is processed exclusively by our service provider Stripe and we do not have access to your complete bank details.
When renting equipment, we may need to verify your identity via the Stripe Identity service, which may involve the collection and verification of official documents (identity card, passport, driver's license) and, in some cases, a photo or video recording for biometric comparison purposes. This data is processed directly by Stripe and is not stored by Cover AR.
We also collect technical data, such as the identifier of the device used to install the application. Finally, only functional cookies necessary for maintaining the user session are deposited.
The data collected is used exclusively for the creation and management of your customer account, billing and payment tracking, assistance and support, as well as for identity verification in case of equipment rental via Stripe Identity. This data may also be used to comply with our legal obligations. No processing for commercial prospecting purposes is carried out. You will only receive transactional emails related to your use of the services, such as confirmations or invoices.
The processing of your personal data is based on the performance of the contract between us (account creation and management, billing, support, identity verification in the context of equipment rental), compliance with legal obligations, particularly in accounting and fraud prevention matters, as well as on Cover AR's legitimate interest in ensuring the security of its services.
Your personal data is kept for the entire duration of the contractual relationship. It is then archived for an additional period of five years in order to comply with applicable legal and accounting obligations. Data processed by Stripe Identity is kept directly by Stripe for the period strictly necessary for verification, in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Your personal data may be communicated to our technical service providers such as OVH for hosting, to our parent company for accounting management, as well as to our payment service provider Stripe (including Stripe Identity for identity verification). It may also be transmitted to legal or judicial authorities when required by law.
Some data may be transferred outside the European Union, particularly via our payment service provider Stripe and its Stripe Identity service.
